The Award Committee meeting, which paved the way for the release, was attended by NECO management and several secondary school principals from across the country.

In addition to releasing the results, NECO has approved the date and timetable for the 2025 BECE resit. The re-sit examination will be held on 23rd and 24th July 2025, covering Mathematics and English Studies, two core subjects required for progression to senior secondary school.

Candidates who wish to participate in the resit are expected to make necessary preparations as outlined in the guidelines to be released by the Council.

NECO urged schools and candidates to visit its official website or approved channels to check results and obtain further details about the re-sit process.

Sani said the release follows NECO’s ongoing efforts to maintain credibility and transparency in the conduct of its examinations and result processing.

The BECE serves as a critical assessment for students completing their basic education and seeking placement into senior secondary schools.
