NEAR Protocol's Explosive Growth: $130 Million Swap Surge Propels Price to $5

The NEAR Protocol ecosystem has demonstrated remarkable operational efficiency, reaching peak metrics across its various functionalities. Over the past 24 hours, the transaction volume processed through the NEAR Intents cross-chain swap protocol achieved an impressive $130.7 million. This substantial daily activity contributes to a robust 30-day turnover of $4.59 billion, while the cumulative trading volume since the protocol's inception has now surpassed an astounding $35 billion, indicating sustained and significant user engagement.

In parallel with its high transaction volumes, the native NEAR token has shown stability, settling within the $4.97–$5.10 range. This resilience enabled a quick recovery from a short-term market dip to $4.62, suggesting that large capital inflows into the network are driven by practical utility and long-term investment strategies rather than speculative trading. This inflow highlights a growing confidence in NEAR's fundamental value and operational capabilities.

A significant driver of recent daily activity has been a sharp surge in demand for protected transactions. These privacy-enhanced operations now account for almost a tenth (9.4%) of NEAR Intents' total monthly volume, equating to a substantial $91.9 million in hidden liquidity flow. The primary direction of this capital movement involves direct cross-chain transfers, notably between Zcash (ZEC) and Bitcoin (BTC). On-chain monitoring systems have recorded numerous large transactions from institutional players, or "whales," who have efficiently converted hundreds of thousands of dollars from shielded ZEC pools directly into BTC with single-click operations. Consequently, the ecosystem's confidential Total Value Locked (TVL) has reached the $151–$152 million range, solidifying NEAR's position as a key legal hub for secure and confidential financial operations.

Beyond transactional efficiency, NEAR's technological focus has strategically shifted toward enhancing long-term protection against fundamental risks. Illia Polosukhin, co-founder of NEAR, confirmed the availability for users to migrate their NEAR account keys to the cutting-edge post-quantum ML-DSA standard. A distinctive feature of NEAR's architecture is its ability to seamlessly update security standards directly within the wallet, obviating the need for third-party bridges and ensuring that users' funds remain unaffected during these critical upgrades.

The network's technical resilience is further bolstered by considerable support from Wall Street. The spot Bitwise NEAR ETF (NRR) recently reported a daily net inflow of $2.61 million, pushing cumulative inflows to an impressive $83.05 million. As a result, the fund's net assets under management have reached $82.36 million, representing approximately 1.26% of NEAR's total market capitalization. This significant institutional backing provides a robust protective buffer for the market and underscores the growing mainstream acceptance of NEAR Protocol.

Operationally, the NEAR network is adeptly managing these increasing volumes without experiencing delays. The decentralized Multi-Party Computation (MPC) system has expanded its infrastructure to include 17 independent operators, which has effectively stabilized block generation time. Furthermore, recent liquidations of short positions on various exchanges have noticeably alleviated selling pressure, thereby clearing a path for the NEAR token to test new local resistance levels and potentially embark on further upward price movements.
