Boston Celtics 127-102 New York Knicks
Series: Knicks lead 3-2

The Boston Celtics kept their championship hopes alive with a commanding 127-102 victory over the New York Knicks in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal series at TD Garden.

Trailing 3-1 in the series, the Celtics responded with a dominant second-half performance, outscoring the Knicks 68-43 after the break. Jaylen Brown was the star of the night, recording a near triple-double with 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 12 assists.

Luke Kornet gave the home crowd a highlight moment late in the fourth quarter with a crucial block followed by a thunderous slam dunk that ignited the arena.

Despite a strong start from the Knicks—who led by two at the end of the first quarter—Boston’s composure and depth proved too much. Josh Hart led New York with 24 points and 7 rebounds, but the Knicks struggled to match Boston’s pace after halftime.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are heading to the Western Conference Finals after eliminating the Golden State Warriors with a 121-110 win in Game 5 at home.

Julius Randle powered the Wolves to victory, finishing with 29 points and 8 rebounds, while Anthony Edwards—nicknamed “Ant”—was instrumental throughout the series and delivered another strong performance to seal the win.

The Warriors, who were chasing the game from the start, showed late fight with a 38-point fourth quarter. Brandin Podziemski led Golden State with 28 points, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Minnesota from closing out the series.

With this win, Minnesota advances to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2004 and will now await the winner of the Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Clippers series.

Game 6 between the Knicks and Celtics is scheduled for Friday, May 16, at Madison Square Garden.
