It’s still far too early to talk about it, of course, especially since he missed a large part of his sophomore season due to health concerns. But while Victor Wembanyama is still only a sophomore, countless NBA fans are convinced that he will one day earn a place in the Hall of Fame, joining another Frenchman in Tony Parker. And all without waiting too long…

It must be said that the Spurs center has made a lasting impression since his arrival in 2023, putting together a string of incredible performances and establishing himself as a potential nuclear deterrent. This makes him a perfect showcase for the new generation of basketball players, brimming with talent and not just limited to the Frenchman. Others are also causing a lot of stir, like Anthony Edwards, for example.

Already a two-time conference finalist with the Timberwolves, the guard also boasts a huge list of accomplishments, having already eliminated LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, and Nikola Jokic in the playoffs. A true executioner who is considered by some experts to be the future face of the league, even if he hardly wants to be. As for Gilbert Arenas, he has no doubts about the Minnesota star’s potential.

As outspoken as usual, the former point guard recently sang the praises of the former first pick in the draft on his podcast:

Man, he’s on a different path. All the players you named? You’re talking about first ballot Hall of Famers. Him and Luka are gonna be first ballot Hall of Famers. He’s being dominant at an early age.

From here it’s just continue growing, continue understanding the game, understanding your weaknesses, cleaning them up. And then, the maturity and wiseness of basketball and just studying, you’re gonna get into that next level of basketball. Right now, it’s just youthand his skill level that has him at this point.Once he starts being a master of the game, that’s when we’re going to see what he’s really about.
