Nasarawa State Government has restated its commitment to developing the rural areas to improve the lives of rural dwellers.

Mr Mohammed Muluku, Commissioner for Water Resources and Rural Development ,restated the commitment while receiving members of Wakama Youth Movement and Alizaga community, Nassarawa Eggon ,at his residence in Nassarawa Eggon.

He said that Gov. Abdullahi Sule had done so much to develop the rural areas.

“His Excellency , Engr. Abdullahi Sule has done well in developing rural areas in terms of road construction, electricity, health, schools, among others.

“Let’s all continue to pray and support him to succeed for everyone to enjoy the dividends of democracy,” he said

He appreciated the groups for the visit and assured of government’s commitment to further initiate policies and programmes to further promote rural development.

The commissioner also urged the groups and other people in the state to continue in live in unity and peace, irrespective of their political affiliation.

Earlier, Mr Anyuabaga Auta, the President, Wakama Youth Movement, said that the visit was to identify with the commissioner and assure him of group’s support for him at all times.

He also assured the commissioner of collaboration to promote unity and peace in the area and the state at large.
