Nasarawa assures journalists of seamless information flow from MDAs - Blueprint Newspapers Limited
The Nasarawa state government has assured journalists of uninterrupted information flow from all the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to ensure proper reportage of the state.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Labaran Magaji, gave the assurance while playing host to members of the correspondents’ chapel of the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Wednesday in Lafia.
Magaji said the free flow of information between the government and the press would enable the public to be well-informed about the state’s activities and developments.
He said it is to ensure that journalists only publish correct information to counter misleading information by quacks who did not mean well for the state.
The SSG described journalists as critical stakeholders who have contributed immensely to the peace and development of the state, hence the need to provide them with an enabling environment to function smoothly.
He said Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration had executed so many legacy projects in different sectors of the state to improve the welfare and well-being of the people of the state.
He promised that the government would support journalists in the state where necessary to enable them carry out their responsibilities without hindrance.
