According to a police report, Mandela Nabala was shot dead following a confrontation over a parking space.

Citizen Digital reported that the incident, which occurred at around 2.30am and involved a licensed civilian firearm holder, identified as 53-year-old Paul Sena, was reported by Mara Junction Night Club proprietor Ambrose Lelesit, prompting the immediate police response.

The altercation reportedly began when Sena, driving a Toyota Fortuner, clashed with Nabala, who was behind the wheel of a Subaru Forester.

During the confrontation, Sena allegedly drew his Glock pistol and shot Nabala once in the chin.

The victim was rushed to the Narok County Referral Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police officers, led by the Officer Commanding Station (OCS), responded swiftly to the scene, located approximately seven kilometres south of Narok Police Station.

They processed the area, recovered a Glock pistol loaded with 14 rounds of ammunition, and retrieved one spent cartridge.

The suspect was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody. His firearm was confiscated, and his vehicle was impounded at Narok Police Station as investigations continue.

Authorities are now pursuing further leads to determine the full circumstances of the fatal shooting.

Elsewhere, a police officer attached to the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Gilbert Kibet, was fatally stabbed outside Genasa Bar and Restaurant in Muhuru Town in Nyatike South sub-county, Migori.

According to a police report, he was attacked by a civilian suspect known only as 'Boy,' who allegedly stabbed him in the neck, catching him off guard.

Kibet collapsed and died en route to the hospital due to excessive bleeding.

His body was taken to Migori County Referral Hospital mortuary as police launched a manhunt for the suspect, who fled the scene.

Meanwhile, the Migori incident occurred days after another violent incident targeting law enforcement in Nakuru's Free Area (Bondeni).

In the Nakuru attack, an armed gang wielding machetes, shields, ambushed three officers on foot patrol and later opening fire.

One officer was killed on the spot, while two others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Nakuru Level Five Hospital for treatment.

During the ensuing investigation, authorities recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition believed to be linked to a string of recent fatal shootings in the area, including the deaths of four civilians and an M-Pesa vendor.
