Naira Marley Breaks Silence: Denies Involvement in Mohbad's Death
Musician Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has finally broken his silence on the death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, who died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27. Months after a Magistrate's Court in Yaba, Lagos, acquitted him, along with music promoter Samson Balogun (Sam Larry), Ibrahim Owodunni (Primeboy), and Mohbad's former manager Babatunde Opere, of blame in Mohbad's death, Naira Marley released a video explaining his side of the story.
The Coroner's Court in Ikorodu, however, recommended the criminal prosecution of auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who treated Mohbad shortly before his death. Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi stated that the nurse acted with gross negligence by administering an injection without a doctor's prescription, deeming her actions
