NaijaTechGuide Crowned Best Tech Influencer of the Year!
NaijaTechGuide, recognized as Nigeria's largest technology blog, has celebrated 13 years of dedicated service, consistently informing its readership about the latest gadgets and technological advancements. This commitment to enlightening its audience was officially recognized in July 2019 when the platform received the prestigious award for the best tech influencer in Nigeria for the year 2018 from Askifa.
The significance of this award for NaijaTechGuide was amplified by its nature: it was completely unsolicited. Unlike many industry awards that require active campaigning or vote solicitation, NaijaTechGuide was unaware of its nomination until the announcement. The award was the result of a comprehensive survey conducted by Askifa, which gathered responses from across the country and potentially beyond. To further solidify its credibility, the survey's findings were published in the BusinessDay newspaper on May 31, 2019, appearing on page 40.
In the highly competitive "best tech influencer" category, NaijaTechGuide was pitted against five other prominent tech personalities and blogs in Nigeria. Emerging as the top contender, the platform's victory was based on a total of 1,018 responses. Entries were rigorously judged using criteria that included User Experience, UI/UX Design, Innovation, and the overall Survey Result, reflecting a thorough evaluation process.
Beyond NaijaTechGuide's win, the Askifa awards also celebrated other notable achievements in the Nigerian tech landscape for 2018. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was honored as the best smartphone in Nigeria. Boomplay and PayLater received recognition as the best app and best fintech app of 2018, respectively. The Tecno Camon 11 Pro narrowly surpassed the iPhone XS to win the best smartphone camera award. Furthermore, Infinix was named the best mobile brand, the Tecno Spark 2 secured the title of best budget smartphone, and Itel was recognized as the best feature phone brand for the year 2018.
This esteemed recognition holds immense value for NaijaTechGuide, prompting a heartfelt expression of gratitude to its loyal followers. The platform pledges to continue its mission of delivering even better content, timely updates, breaking news, practical tips, how-to guides, and a wide array of information covering all facets of the tech world.
