NAIA - LSUS-All-Decade-Team-Announced
ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria athletics department is excited to announce the LSUA Men's Basketball All-Decade Team, honoring and celebrating student-athletes from the program's first 10 years.
LSUA coaches, athletics communication staff, and administration selected the 10-player roster. While not a definitive list of student-athletes who contributed to the growth and success of the LSUA men's basketball program, these 10 stood out during their time for the Generals.
Leading the team is two-time NAIA First Team All-American, and the 2024-25 NAIA Player of the Year, KASHIE NATT. A three-year player for LSUA, Natt tallied 1,592 points for the Generals and is the program's all-time leading scorer. He finished his career by guiding the Generals to an NAIA Round of Eight appearance The Rayville, Louisiana native earned two RRAC Player of the Year selections in 2023-24 and 2024-25, as well as Defensive Player of the Year in 2024-25. Natt finished his career with 565 field goals made, an LSUA all-time high, and a shooting percentage of 49.8. He is the LSUA career rebounding leader, hauling in 780 boards over the course of three campaigns. Natt was a finalist for the Bevo Francis Award in 2024-25 and earned NABC All-American honors in both 2023-24 and 2024-25.
DEANGELO COLEMAN was inducted into the LSUA Athletics Hall of Fame in 2025. Coleman spent two seasons with the Generals from 2014-2016. He appeared in 58 games and averaged 13.6 points per game. Coleman recorded 791 points, 230 rebounds, 61 steals, and three blocks. He finished his LSUA career shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 81 percent at the free throw line. Coleman is third all-time for career assists at LSUA with 252 and is first in assists per game at 4.3. During his two seasons at LSUA, the Generals won a pair of Red River Athletic Conference Regular Season Championships. Coleman was an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention in 2014-15, before earning First Team NAIA All-America honors during 2015-16. He earned LSWA All-Louisiana Second Team honors in 2015-16. Coleman was the RRAC 2015-16 Player of the Year, the 2014-15 RRAC Newcomer of the Year, and a two-time All-RRAC First Team selection.
Another LSUA Athletics Hall of Fame, JORDIN WILLIAMS was inducted in 2024 and spent four years with the Generals from 2014-15 to 2017-18. He recorded 1,547 points, 345 rebounds, 396 assists, 140 steals, and 26 blocks. Williams helped guide LSUA to the program's first NAIA Round of Four appearance in 2016-17. The Generals won 34 consecutive games. Williams earned All-RRAC First Team honors in 2017-18 after being named Second Team All-RRAC the previous season. He was named the 2018 RRAC Basketball Tournament MVP and garnered NAIA First Team All-American honors. He owns the LSUA single season record for points scored (713), points per game (20.4), three-point field goals made (101), free throws made (182), and free throw percentage (87.9). He also owns the single game record for points (38). Williams was the first Generals' player to eclipse 1,500 points.
BRIAN SYLVESTER spent three seasons in a Generals' uniform from 2014-15 to 2016-17. He recorded 1,221 points, 759 rebounds, 98 assists, 73 steals, and 220 blocks. Sylvester finished his career with a shooting percentage of 59 and recorded 507 field goals made. He earned three consecutive RRAC Defensive Player of the Year awards and earned a pair of All-RRAC First Team selections. Sylvester also earned RRAC All-Tournament honors three times, was named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team, and was named the Louisiana Small College Player of the Year. Sylvester earned LSWA All-Louisiana Second Team honors in 2016-17.
BRANDON MOSS is a two-time NAIA Second Team All-American, earning the honor both 2016-17 and 2017-18. He appeared in 70 games over two seasons at LSUA and recorded 1,161 points. Moss added 531 rebounds, 173 assists, 84 steals, and 98 blocks. Moss was named to the NAIA All-Tournament team in both 2016-17 and 2017-18. He earned a pair of All-RRAC First Team honors and was named the 2016-17 RRAC Newcomer of the Year. Moss was twice named to the RRAC All-Tournament team and was the 2017 Tournament Co-MVP. He earned LSWA All-Louisiana Third Team honors in 2017-18 and All-Louisiana Honorable Mention in 2016-17.
WILLIAM CLAIBORNE played four seasons at LSUA from 2015-16 to 2018-19. He appeared in 120 games and recorded 1,135 points. Claiborne racked up 654 rebounds, 112 assists, 40 steals, and 66 blocks over his career. He earned NAIA First Team All-American honors in 2018-19 and was named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team in 2017-18. Claiborne was named First Team All-RRAC in 2018-19, All-RRAC Second Team in 2017-18, and earned LSWA All-Louisiana Third Team honors in 2018-19.
CHRIS VICKERS spent four seasons in purple and gold from 2016-17 to 2019-20. He racked up 1,264 points over 117 games, 690 rebounds, 149 assists, 79 steals, and 32 blocks. Vickers was a Second Team NAIA All-American in 2019-20. He earned All-RRAC First Team honors in 2019-20 and Honorable Mention All-RRAC in 2017-18. Vickers was named to the RRAC All-Tournament Team in 2020.
JD ALLEN played two seasons for LSUA in 2022-23 and 2023-24. He appeared in 59 games and recorded 868 points. Allen totaled 305 rebounds, 108 assists, 91 steals, and 39 blocks. He earned All-RRAC First Team in 2023-24 and All-RRAC Second Team honors in 2022-23.
JAKEMIN ABNEY played four seasons over five years for the Purple and Gold. He totaled 1,377 points over 108 games. Abney recorded 351 rebounds, 153 assists, 90 steals, and 28 blocks. He earned All-RRAC three times and was named an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American in 2020-21. This past season, Abney earned Honorable Mention All-RRAC.
The final member of the All-Decade Team is current General EJ MCQUILAN. In his first two seasons at LSUA, McQuillan has appeared in 61 games and recorded 670 points. He has recorded 160 rebounds, 84 assists, 55 steals, and four blocks. McQuillan has earned All-RRAC honors in both seasons, taking in All-RRAC Honorable Mention in 2023-24 and First Team All-RRAC in 2024-25.
