A legal dispute has emerged between Mayowa Lambe and her ex-husband, Roby Ekpo, with Lambe demanding ₦100 million in damages over alleged defamatory statements.

The controversy follows Ekpo’s appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, where he made claims about their 11-year marriage, including allegations of deception and undisclosed remarriage, sparking widespread public reaction and scrutiny.

In response, Lambe—through her lawyer Chinedu Nwaneli—issued a cease-and-desist notice demanding a public retraction, removal of the statements, and compensation for reputational damage.

Her legal team insists the allegations are false, asserting that the marriage had already been mutually dissolved before her remarriage, and accusing Ekpo of spreading “fabricated narratives” that have triggered harassment and online backlash.

The dispute has escalated into a potential court battle, with Lambe’s team claiming to possess documented evidence supporting her position, including financial records and medical history related to the marriage.
