Music World Mourns: JD Twitch, Half of Optimo (Espacio) Duo, Dies at 57

JD Twitch, the influential Scottish DJ and producer, real name Keith McIvor, and one half of the renowned duo Optimo (Espacio), has passed away at the age of 57. He died on Friday, September 19, following a diagnosis of terminal brain cancer earlier this year, at the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow. His longtime musical partner, Jonnie Wilkes (also known as JG Wilkes), shared the news on social media the following day, expressing profound gratitude and sorrow for the loss of his friend and collaborator.
Wilkes' heartfelt tribute on Instagram highlighted their 28-year partnership, acknowledging how McIvor had immeasurably changed his life and how together they ventured into unique musical directions and places.
