Music Icon Davido Set to Electrify AFCON 2025 Kick-Off in Rabat!

Africa is gearing up for the official kick-off concert of AFCON 2025, an ambitious entertainment program designed to celebrate music, culture, and football. The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, at the OLM Souissi Fan Zone in Rabat, Morocco. Headlining the festivities will be Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido, renowned for his high-octane showmanship and strong sense of continental pride.

Davido's confirmation as a headline act underscores his significant role as a leading figure in Afrobeats on the global stage. His illustrious career includes acclaimed albums such as 'A Good Time', 'A Better Time', and 'Timeless', along with notable performances at major sporting events, including the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar and the 2017 AFCON opening ceremony. His presence is expected to perfectly align with the spirit of AFCON, infusing the celebration with vibrant energy.

Joining Davido will be an array of global and African stars. French Montana will make a symbolic return to his home country, adding a unique touch to the lineup. Morocco's own Douaa Lahyaoui, rising talent Says’z, and Franco-Moroccan sensation Lartiste will also perform, bringing a rich blend of local flavor and emerging talent to the stage. The concert promises to be a diverse showcase of Afrobeats, pop, urban, and traditional musical influences.

Organized by CAF, TotalEnergies, and the Kingdom of Morocco, the concert is described as one of the most ambitious entertainment programs ever staged alongside AFCON. Fans holding Fan IDs or match tickets will have the opportunity to enjoy the event for free, from 18:00 to midnight local time. This grand celebration aims to set the tone for the tournament, offering fans a taste of the African unity, creativity, and culture that AFCON 2025 embodies, long before the first whistle of the continent’s biggest football tournament.
