Music Extravaganza: Rwanda Gears Up for Grand Festive Concerts
As the year 2025 draws to a close and festive excitement builds, Rwanda's entertainment calendar is bursting with diverse concerts and worship nights, promising to help Rwandans end the year and begin the next on a high note. From spirit-filled gospel events and high-energy rap shows to nostalgic festivals and grand New Year's celebrations, a variety of events are set to captivate audiences across the country.
Kicking off the festive season, the 'Niwe Healing Concert' is scheduled for November 29 at the BK Arena. This spiritual gathering marks the much-anticipated homecoming of gospel artiste Richard Nick Ngendahayo, returning after 17 years in the United States. Thousands are expected to join in this emotional night of praise, testimony, and healing, creating a profound experience for gospel music enthusiasts.
December will bring an international music sensation to Kigali as Nigerian superstar Davido confirms December 5 as his next stop for his '5ive' album tour. The concert, also taking place at the BK Arena, will feature Rwandan artist Kitoko, who recently returned to the country after a 12-year stay in the United Kingdom. Entrance tickets for this highly anticipated show range from Rwf15,000 to Rwf100,000.
For lovers of classics and nostalgia, the Oldies Music Festival is making its second appearance in Kigali Universe this year on December 6. Known for its feel-good retro atmosphere, the festival promises to bring back timeless hits, legendary performers, and a crowd eager to sing along. It offers a fresh yet nostalgic escape amidst the festive rush, featuring vintage vibes, soulful sounds, and a celebration of music eras that shaped generations.
Rap music takes center stage on December 26 with the third edition of 'Icyumba cya Rap' at Zaria Court. More than 10 prominent rappers are expected to perform, with a star-studded lineup including headline acts like Riderman, Fireman, Bull Dogg, Kenny K-Shot, and Zeo Trap. P Fla, Kivumbi King, Logan Joe, and Bruce The 1st are also confirmed to hit the stage. Ticket options are varied, ranging from Rwf10,000 for an individual pass, Rwf17,000 for duos, Rwf35,000 for a squad of four, Rwf50,000 for a click ticket of six, and a Rap Lounge Table for six priced at Rwf150,000.
