Bree’s story started in a Houston park, where she was discovered abandoned alongside her three sisters: Bambi, Bailey, and Bridget. A compassionate volunteer from Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. intervened, rescuing the puppies and placing them in foster care. Over the past three months in foster, Bree has shown remarkable progress, evolving from a shy pup who preferred her crate to confidently joining her foster family on the couch. Her transformation highlights the impact of a stable foster environment, yet she too is still seeking a permanent home.

Great Dog Rescue New England introduces Pukita, a little 15-pound dog whose early life details remain largely unknown. Pukita was found living as a stray at a landfill in Mexico. Local workers called a rescue organization, which brought Pukita and over 30 other cats and dogs to a park in hopes of finding homes. It was there that the Great Dog Rescue New England team encountered Pukita during a visit to Mexico. After a long process to secure her medical records and passport, Pukita is scheduled to arrive in New England at the end of June, where she will begin her search for a family to call her own.

Meanwhile, Nixon, a remarkable young dog with a difficult past, has been under the care of Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. for over five months and is still searching for his forever home. Nixon was initially found wandering the streets of Texas at approximately one year of age. When his original owners were contacted, they abandoned him, refusing to have him neutered as required by city ordinance, stating they only acquired him for breeding. Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. stepped in to save Nixon. Since then, he has completed a board-and-train program in Texas and is now living with a foster family in Massachusetts, showcasing his resilience as he continues his quest for a permanent, loving home.
