MI New York secured their spot in the Major League Cricket 2025 final with a commanding seven-wicket victory over Texas Super Kings in the Qualifier 2 match on Friday, led by outstanding performances from Kieron Pollard and Nicholas Pooran.

MI NY completed a remarkable turnaround after losing six of their first seven games this season, chasing down TSK's total of 166/5 with an over to spare."Not sure how we got to the final, but we are in the final now," said MI New York captain Nicholas Pooran after the match, reflecting on their fourth place finish in the points table with just three wins in 10 matches played.Texas Super Kings, batting first, started cautiously with Smit Patel and Faf du Plessis at the crease.

While Smit managed a few boundaries in the opening over, du Plessis began his assault in the fourth over against Tristan Luus.
