Miracles Aboagye: I never met my Father

Published 2 days ago2 minute read

Dennis Miracles Aboagye, aide to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has shared a deeply personal chapter of his life, revealing that he never met his biological father.

Speaking on The Upside Down Show on Channel One TV, Aboagye opened up about the emotional journey of growing up without a father figure, and how that absence shaped his childhood.

“I never met my dad. I don’t know what happened, but at some point in my life, I had to ask,” he recounted. “The environment in which I grew up, everybody was a child’s parent. But I think at a point, I remember asking.”

He described the painful experience of attending school events where his peers were accompanied by their parents, particularly their fathers, while he stood alone.

“It only happened that the man who is supposed to be my father did not take responsibility when I was born. So, she single-handedly took up my growing,” Aboagye shared, referring to his mother, who raised him on her own.

The conversation with his mother brought clarity, though it came with emotional weight. He said it wasn’t until late 2024 that he encountered any information about his biological father.

“It was about last year in August or September that I met his obituary poster,” he revealed.

Despite the difficult circumstances, Aboagye’s reflections highlighted his gratitude for his mother’s strength and the support of the broader community that helped raise him.
