Miley Cyrus Unleashes Rock Power: Deluxe Album Features Two New Tracks with Legendary Collaborators!

Miley Cyrus is set to release an expanded deluxe edition of her acclaimed visual album, 'Something Beautiful,' as she announced on Wednesday, September 17. The refreshed album, slated for release on Friday, September 19, will build upon the original 13 tracks by introducing two significant new collaborations with rock icons, marking an ambitious new chapter for the artist.
One highly anticipated addition is the sweeping ballad titled 'Secrets.' This track features the legendary talents of drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist/singer Lindsey Buckingham, both formerly of the iconic band Fleetwood Mac. Cyrus had been teasing this particular song for several weeks, revealing it was written as a special gift for her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, to celebrate his 64th birthday. Billy Ray himself later confirmed on Instagram that the song was a "gift of music" from his daughter, featuring two of his "favorite musicians" from Fleetwood Mac.
The deluxe edition will also include another notable collaboration, 'Lockdown,' which sees Cyrus teaming up with David Byrne, the revered legend of Talking Heads. This is not their first time working together; the pair previously shared the stage during Cyrus's 2022 NBC New Year’s Eve special, where they performed a memorable duet of David Bowie’s 'Let’s Dance' and Byrne’s own 'Everybody’s Coming To My House.'
The original 'Something Beautiful' album, initially released in May, was itself a collaborative effort, featuring contributions from a diverse array of artists and bands including Alvvays, Model/Actriz, The War on Drugs, Danielle Haim, Flea, model Naomi Campbell, and Brittany Howard. Beyond the music, the album was accompanied by a groundbreaking musical film. This film, which Cyrus herself co-wrote and co-directed, premiered at the prestigious Tribeca Festival earlier this year, followed by a special one-night-only theatrical screening in June, before becoming available for streaming on Hulu. The deluxe edition promises to further enrich this already comprehensive artistic project.
