Miami Chef Named to JBF TasteTwenty Class

Published 2 months ago1 minute read

Chef Aaron Brooks of Sunny’s is one of the 2025-2026 TasteTwenty chefs, the James Beard Foundation’s annual selection of “ones to watch” in the industry.

Each chef of the TasteTwenty cohort is chosen for their exceptional culinary talent and meaningful contributions beyond the kitchen. They’re champions of positive change – from investing in their teams, supporting sustainable agriculture, advocating for a more resilient food system, and more.

“These chefs represent the future of American dining – combining culinary excellence with positive leadership that drives our industry forward,” says Claire Reichenbach, CEO, James Beard Foundation. “Their dedication to craft and community inspires us, and we’re honored to showcase their talents on a national stage.”

Brooks joins Michelle Bernstein of Sra. Martinez on Oct. 29 for a special dinner as part of the Taste America national series celebrating American food culture and independent restaurants across 20 U.S. cities.
