MI Abaga Teams Up With National Leaders for EiE Nigeria’s 15th Anniversary!

Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria is set to commemorate its 15th anniversary with a landmark celebration titled “Footprints & Frontlines,” bringing together a distinguished lineup of speakers to catalyze civic action and national transformation. The event, scheduled for December 10th in Lagos, will be headlined by the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who will deliver the opening keynote address. Her speech is anticipated to explore the critical intersection of global economics, governance, and citizen agency, echoing her previous keynote at the 2010 Future Awards that preceded EiE’s inception.
The anniversary dinner, hosted by prominent media personalities Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Ayo Mairo-Ese, will feature powerful calls to engagement from champions across Nigeria’s foundational sectors. This diverse group includes Fola Adeola (Co-Founder, GTCO Group; Chairman, FATE Foundation) representing the Private Sector, Oby Ezekwesili (Founder & Chair, School of Politics, Policy and Governance – SPPG) for Civil Society, His Highness Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi (Emir of Kano) from Traditional Institutions, Omobola Johnson (Nigeria’s first Minister of Communication Technology) representing Government, Frank Aigbogun (CEO, BusinessDay Media Ltd) for Media, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah (Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Sokoto) from Religious Institutions, and MI Abaga (Rapper, Producer & Entrepreneur) for Pop Culture.
This speaker roster underscores EiE’s comprehensive approach to fostering change, uniting business, civil society, traditional leadership, government, media, faith, and culture. Their collective insights are expected to offer a multi-dimensional blueprint for active citizenship and accountable leadership within Nigeria. Opeyemi Adamolekun, Executive Director of Enough is Enough Nigeria, emphasized the event’s strategic importance, stating, “This anniversary is more than a celebration; it is a strategic convening of the very pillars that hold our society together.”
Further enhancing the evening, a short film will premiere, showcasing the evolution of active citizenship across three pivotal eras of Nigeria’s democratic journey: Concerned Professionals, #EnoughIsEnough, and #EndSARS. This celebration is envisioned not merely as a retrospective on past achievements but as a strategic platform to galvanize renewed commitment to national progress. While primarily an invitation-only affair, EiE has made a limited number of seats available for committed citizens who wish to request an invitation. BellaNaija is serving as a Media Partner for this significant event.
