Mercy Eke marked her birthday with a champagne-bronze gown that leaned heavily into structure, crystals and old-school red-carpet drama.
The Big Brother Naija winner shared photos of the look on September 29, wearing a custom gown built around a fitted corset, sculpted hips and a long silk-satin train. She paired the look with an auburn updo and gold accessories.
The gown did most of the work
The dress combined a champagne-bronze satin base with a sheer halter section covered in clustered gold crystals. The high neckline formed a jewel-like collar, while sheer sequinned mesh continued down the skirt.
Around the hips, the gown became more structured, creating the exaggerated shape at the waist and sides. Satin gathers appeared around the knee before giving way to the long train.
It was a lot of detail, but the warm metallic colour kept the pieces working together rather than competing for attention.
She kept the styling warm
Eke's beauty look followed the same palette.
Her hair was pulled into a sculpted auburn updo with a curved fringe around the face. She wore warm brown eyeshadow, defined eyeliner and glossy lips, while chunky gold hoops, bangles, a watch and metallic heels completed the outfit.
Nothing was introduced to break up the bronze-and-gold direction.

The birthday photos were not Eke's only celebration this year. She also shared images of a Mercedes-AMG G63 decorated with a large red bow and captioned the post, “New age, new keys, same me.” Her birthday was September 29.
