The healing process can be mentally taxing. The body’s hormones may change due to chronic stress or pain medications. In addition, changes to lifestyle and daily routines can impact mental wellbeing even further. Many times managing an injury means developing alternative coping skills as abilities to exercise and socialize evolve.
