MCR Mayhem: My Chemical Romance Fans Fume Over 'Extortionate' Wembley Ticket Prices!

My Chemical Romance (MCR) fans have been left furious at the “extortionate” prices for the legendary rock band's recently confirmed two dates at Wembley Stadium in 2026. The band, comprising Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Ray Toro, and Frank Iero, is bringing their massive stadium tour to the UK after a sell-out run in the US. They are set to perform at Wembley on July 10 and 11, 2026. As tickets went on sale, fans took to social media to air their disappointment, citing “criminal” prices and criticizing the use of dynamic pricing, with many expressing that they were “devastated” by the costs.
The rock group, which first formed in 2001, became a genre-defining act in the emo era with their 2004 album, “Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge.” Their iconic status was further cemented with the multi-platinum selling 2006 album, “The Black Parade,” a concept album that intricately followed a man's journey to the afterlife. After an initial split in 2013, the band reformed in 2019 for a string of special shows and officially returned to the road for a new tour earlier this year.

Their upcoming shows, notably titled 'Long Live: The Black Parade,' celebrate the album's 20th anniversary. This grand spectacle will feature lead singer Gerard Way depicted as a fascist-style leader and will see the band performing the titular album in its entirety, followed by a second set of hits from their other four albums. MCR has released four studio albums to date: their 2001 debut, “I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love”; “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge”; “The Black Parade”; and “Danger Days: The True Lives of The Fabulous Killjoys” in 2010. Additionally, they have released collections of recordings like “Conventional Weapons,” as well as bonus tracks and specials on their Greatest Hits album.
Beyond their collective work, the band members have pursued individual projects. Gerard Way famously helped create the Netflix series “The Umbrella Academy,” based on a comic book he created with Gabriel Bá. Rhythm guitarist Frank Iero has toured as a frontman for various other bands, while lead guitarist Ray Toro has released solo material and joined other groups for album recordings.

In a surprising revelation, many fans are only just realizing that lead vocalist Gerard Way has a very famous cousin: hugely successful podcaster Joe Rogan.Speaking on his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience,”Joe Rogan confirmed that he and Gerard are distant cousins, connected through Joe's grandmother Josie, who was Gerard's aunt. Joe Rogan, 58, has a varied career spanning comedy, acting, UFC commentary, and TV hosting. His podcast, launched in 2009, quickly became one of the world's most popular, though he clarified he does not personally know Gerard.
