Courtesy of Paula Cooper Gallery, New York
“Untitled (Nightnoise)” by Christian Marclay
The next time you’re in Westwood Village, stop by the Hammer Museum at UCLA to check out “Performance on Paper.” The new exhibition features a collection of prints and drawings, primarily from the Grunwald Center and Hammer Contemporary Collections, from 20 artists active from the 1960s through the present. The two-dimensional pieces, which focus on the intersection of music and dance, showcase the artists’ ability to create prints that depict physical movement and sound.
Featured artists include Laurie Anderson, Jennie C. Jones, Ann Hamilton, Channa Horwitz, Christian Marclay, Tom Marioni, Jason Moran, Meredith Monk, Julia Phillips, Allen Ruppersberg and Kandis Williams.
Admission is free.
