Matawalle Launches Bold 'Tinubu Again' Campaign for 2027, Targets Millions

The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has spearheaded the launch of a new grassroots mobilisation movement, aptly named ‘Tinubu Again’. This initiative is specifically designed to garner more than 20 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Matawalle revealed details of the movement following his return to the country, where he was greeted by members of the nascent organisation. He indicated that ‘Tinubu Again’ is slated for a formal launch in the near future, after which it will be systematically rolled out to engage communities at the grassroots level across Nigeria. As a tangible step towards facilitating this extensive mobilisation campaign, the minister also unveiled a fleet of 50 vehicles dedicated to supporting the movement’s operations.

The core strategy of ‘Tinubu Again’ involves mobilising supporters to conduct door-to-door campaigns. These campaigns will advocate not only for President Tinubu but also for other APC candidates vying for various elective positions, including governorships, senatorial seats, and memberships in the House of Representatives and State Houses of Assembly. Matawalle emphasized that the primary objective is to directly communicate the messages, policies, and programmes of the Tinubu administration to Nigerians, particularly those in rural and underserved areas.

“We have to go down to the people to inform people, to give the awareness to people what this present administration is doing, what Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing to the people, his programmes, his visions, missions, and his intention to Nigerians,” Matawalle stated. He further stressed the importance of these grassroots messengers in conveying President Tinubu’s positive intentions for the populace, ensuring the administration’s commitments are understood directly by the electorate.

The movement’s ambition extends beyond the presidential contest, aiming to secure success for all APC candidates at both national and state levels. Matawalle expressed strong confidence in achieving this, stating, “We will work day and night to ensure their success, to ensure that we deliver the two of them and all of our candidates, be it governors, senators, members of the House of Representatives, State Assembly, and all other elective position.” He reiterated the target of mobilising over 20 million voters, a number he believes will translate into decisive victories for Tinubu and the APC in 2027.

Matawalle also called upon Nigerians to exercise patience with the current administration and to lend their support to President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, asserting that the President holds genuine well-being for Nigerians at heart. He conveyed his appreciation to the movement’s members for their reception and reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to supporting their efforts to ensure the success of ‘Tinubu Again’ and the President’s political aspirations. The impending formal launch of the ‘Tinubu Again’ movement is poised to initiate its widespread grassroots mobilisation campaign in the run-up to the 2027 elections.
