More than two months after their reportedly lavish but heavily private wedding, pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL tight end Travis Kelce are finally sharing some details about their big day. The couple, who famously kept their nuptials under wraps, are breaking their silence in the season five debut of Travis Kelce's podcast, "New Heights," co-hosted with his brother Jason Kelce.
In a minute-long preview clip released on Wednesday (Sept. 2), Jason playfully hints at the event, stating, “Interesting bit of the offseason … you’re finally married!” Travis, 36, proudly confirms his new marital status by holding up a golden wedding band, declaring, “I am a married man, yep.”
According to People, Travis uses the podcast to describe the wedding, which took place on July 3 at New York’s Madison Square Garden (MSG), as a “night out we’ll never forget.” He expressed profound gratitude, adding, “Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up, from the vows to just seeing everyone, to how much fun we had, throughout the entire evening and hearing that, kind of be relayed through everybody’s stories of the night. And it was just so magical, man.” His only regret, he noted, was that the night seemed to pass “in the blink of an eye” and he wished it could have lasted longer.
The couple chose MSG for their ceremony, which was officiated by comedian and friend Adam Sandler, because they desired “somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions. And we needed it to be a private feel,” Kelce explained, highlighting their commitment to privacy that had previously kept all details locked down.
Beyond wedding revelations, the podcast episode also delves into another significant debut: Travis and Taylor’s adorable Samoyed dog, Wendy. Wendy makes her first public appearance in Travis Kelce’s new Tommy Hilfiger campaign, which launched on Tuesday (Sept. 1). The ad features Kelce navigating New York’s Plaza Hotel, interacting with famous sports stars and musicians, before settling into a suite with the fluffy white puppy. Kelce recounted how the campaign producers inquired if he was comfortable with dogs, to which he responded, “I have a dog.” This led to Wendy’s charming inclusion in the shoot. The full episode of "New Heights" was scheduled to drop at 9:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday.
