Marriage Meltdown: Rosy Meurer and Olakunle Churchill's Tumultuous Union Rocked by Public Drama

Businessman Olakunle Churchill has sparked significant controversy following recent public statements denying his legal marriage to actress Rosy Meurer. Churchill asserted that their union was merely a marriage introduction and lacked legal standing as it was not solemnized in a court or church, thus negating the need for a formal divorce. Furthermore, he dismissed Meurer’s past support during his scandals, controversially stating that if she hadn't been present, "someone else would have."

Amidst the unfolding drama, Rosy Meurer, a mother of two, shared a video on her Instagram page depicting her looking unbothered in a purple and black ensemble, barely 24 hours after Churchill's denial. However, Nigerians quickly responded by unearthing a 2021 birthday message from Churchill to Meurer, where he explicitly referred to her as "Mrs. Churchill" and expressed appreciation for her unwavering support when "it was like the whole world was against me." This unearthed message directly contradicts his recent claims that he disapproves of the "exaggerated narrative" of her standing by him and his dismissal of their marital status.

Social media personality Blessing ‘CEO’ Okoro weighed in forcefully, condemning Olakunle Churchill's statements and accusing him of a "pattern of gaslighting." Blessing CEO, who recently disclosed her battle with stage 4 cancer, drew parallels between the current situation and Churchill's past public disputes with his ex-wife, actress Tonto Dikeh. She vehemently criticized Churchill’s dismissal of Meurer’s loyalty, arguing that Meurer was being "thrown under the bus" after years of protecting him. Rejecting any notion of "karma" for Meurer, Blessing urged the actress to abandon her "classy" silence and publicly confront the businessman.

In further clarifications, Olakunle Churchill also denied claims that Rosy Meurer was friends with actress Tonto Dikeh while he was married to Dikeh. He stated that Dikeh had never made such assertions before his relationship with Meurer commenced. Churchill suggested that the renewed public scrutiny surrounding his marital affairs is a direct consequence of his recent reunion with his son, King Andre, whom he shares with Tonto Dikeh.
