Market Surprise: XRP Dazzles, Outperforming Ethereum as ETF Trading Kicks Off!

XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) commenced October with a notable surge in capital inflows, contrasting sharply with Ethereum ETFs, which experienced significant investor withdrawals. This divergence marks a strong start for XRP in the new month, signaling renewed interest following a period of subdued performance at the close of the previous month.

According to recent data from SosoValue, XRP ETFs attracted a net inflow of approximately $4.07 million during their daily trading session on October 1. In stark opposition, Ethereum ETFs recorded a substantial net outflow of $55.37 million on the very same day. This resulted in XRP ETFs outperforming Ethereum ETFs by an impressive $59.44 million in daily flows at the onset of October, showcasing a significant shift in investor sentiment between the two crypto assets.

The total trading volume for XRP ETFs on October 1 reached $25.87 million, further underscoring the revitalized interest in the asset. This renewed momentum has drawn considerable attention from market analysts, who are observing XRP's performance closely.

Delving into the specifics of XRP ETF performance, major players like Franklin Templeton and Bitwise contributed significantly. Franklin Templeton's XRP ETF alone attracted about $4.06 million in new capital, while Bitwise saw inflows of approximately $3.18 million. However, these positive inflows were partially counteracted by an outflow of $3.18 million from Canary's XRP ETF. Despite the strong individual performances of some XRP funds, the overall capital pulled in by XRP was still considered relatively modest.

Conversely, Ethereum's spot ETFs faced a challenging start to October, with investors withdrawing a substantial amount of capital. The recorded $55.37 million net outflow for Ethereum pushed its cumulative net inflows to $13.84 billion, indicating that while the asset has historically seen strong capital accumulation, it is currently experiencing a period of retrenchment.
