The Seattle Mariners and Detroit Tigers might easily have been in these spaces - division leader and Wild Card contender. However, they’re inverted, at least by my expectations. Detroit’s stellar start to the season has resulted in a wave of All-Stars. The resurgence of Javy Báez and the… surgence of Tarik Skubal and Riley Greene have the Gritty Tigs shredding the American League.
With Skubal looming on the mound, the M’s are turning to their righty-heavy batting order, with Donovan Solano at first base, Dylan Moore in right field, and Mitch Garver behind the plate while Cal Raleigh steps in at DH.
