Manchester app designer, Apadmi, boosts Dutch position with Amsterdam expansion | TheBusinessDesk.com
Apadmi, the Manchester-based app maker, has joined forces with Amsterdam-based mobile specialist Pinch following its acquisition, for an undisclosed sum.
This marks another step in Apadmi’s ongoing growth, creating a 450-strong powerhouse of mobile experts across Europe with offices in Manchester, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Wrocław, and the Dutch team now boasts 70 experts across design, development and product.
Apadmi expanded into the Dutch market in 2022 and is putting itself on the map across Europe with Polish company Droids On Roids joining the Apadmi Group earlier this year.
Its position at the forefront of mobile digital product creation and systems integration is reinforced by a strong client base including Asda, Domino’s, Co-op, the NHS and Argos.
For Pinch, which is leading the way in the Benelux media industry, becoming part of the Apoadmi Group is the culmination of 14 years of consistent growth which has seen the business build a strong client base in media and mobility working with well known brands like Mediahuis, Het Financiele Dagblad, DPG Media and Dutch Railways.
Apadmi CEO, Garry Partington, said: “We’re thrilled to be taking the next step in Apadmi’s continued growth. It’s a brilliant fit which builds on our unique blend of mobile engineering and digital product expertise and also gives us a great foothold into new sectors.”
Pinch co-founder, Tim Klein Haneveld, said: “There’s such a good fit between Pinch and Apadmi in terms of our expertise and our ambitions. We’re really excited about building on what we’ve created and taking that to the next level as part of a bigger group for both our clients and our people.”
Apadmi’s M&A director, Jasper van de Luijtgaarden, said: “The momentum we’ve managed to create with our combination of organic growth and M&A is fantastic. And to find such a similar business with expertise in a new sector like media right on our doorstep in Amsterdam is really exciting.”
The existing team from Pinch will continue to manage the business, building on its media expertise and working alongside the wider Apadmi team to drive further growth across Europe.
