BelicoFest San José has announced the cancellation of its highly anticipated festival, which was scheduled to take place on August 29, 2026, at PayPal Park. Organizers made the difficult decision public on Friday, August 21, 2026, just over a week before the event was set to commence. The announcement was shared via social media, with a joint Instagram post by BelicoFest and PayPal Park stating, “San Jose Familia: We are sorry to share that BelicoFest San José will not be happening next weekend as planned.”
The festival team indicated that the cancellation came “after careful consideration,” emphasizing their priority of “delivering the best possible festival.” While no further details were provided regarding the specific circumstances behind the cancellation, organizers assured ticket holders that they would receive automatic refunds, requiring no action on their part.
The planned lineup for BelicoFest San José featured an impressive array of artists, including headliners Tito Double P, Gerardo Ortiz, and Santa Fe Klan. Other artists slated to perform were Herencia de Patrones, Regulo Caro, Estevie, Anakin Larios, Ilusión Eterno, and Grupo Ajedrez.
This San José event was part of BelicoFest’s planned 2026 expansion, following its Los Angeles debut at BMO Stadium on July 12, 2026. The L.A. show had its own extensive lineup, featuring Tito Double P, Gerardo Ortiz, OhGeesy, Clave Especial, Chuyin, Regulo Caro, Snow Tha Product, Estevie, Ilusión Eterno, Grupo Ajedrez, Anakin Larios, and Clika, with Santa Fe Klan appearing as a special guest. Prior to its 2026 expansion, BelicoFest had a significant presence, drawing over 30,000 fans in Phoenix in 2025, an event headlined by Peso Pluma.
Adding to the significance of the San José date, BelicoFest’s producer, For The Culture, had described it as PayPal Park’s inaugural live music event. PayPal Park, an 18,000-seat stadium that opened in 2015, is primarily known as the home of the San Jose Earthquakes soccer team and has previously hosted various sporting events and community programming, but had not yet ventured into hosting concerts. Despite this setback, BelicoFest organizers remain optimistic, stating they are “actively exploring new dates” and will provide updates as soon as they become available.
