Major Casting Shake-Up Rocks Hit Series 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' for Season 2!
The highly anticipated second season of the Prime Video series, Mr. And Mrs. Smith, has undergone another significant casting change for its 'Mrs. Smith' role just prior to the commencement of filming. Initially, reports indicated that Mark Eydelshteyn, known for his work in Anora, and Sophie Thatcher from Yellowjackets, were slated to star in the lead roles.
However, Variety has now confirmed that Talia Ryder will be stepping into the role of Mrs. Smith. Ryder, who has recently appeared in films such as Do Revenge and Dumb Money, replaces the previously announced actress. This marks a notable shift in the production's trajectory, further highlighting the dynamic nature of television casting.
The trade publication also reports that despite these casting adjustments and a month-long delay, the second season of the series is now officially in production, moving forward with its new lead actress.
