Lorde Announces 2026 'Ultrasound' Australian Tour Dates - Music Feeds
Lorde has formally announced the Australian dates of her Ultrasound world tour, which will see her return to the country for her first shows in nearly three years in February 2026. The world tour comes in support of her recently-released fourth studio album Virgin, which was released late last month and topped the ARIA Albums Chart on its first week of release. The full list of Lorde’s new Ultrasound Australian tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be found below.
The multi-platinum New Zealand alternative pop artist has been teasing an Australian tour for months in the lead-up to its official announcement. Earlier this year, she made a surprise appearance at Mary’s Underground in Sydney’s Circular Quay – where a Lorde-themed club night was taking place. While in the city, she also stopped in at triple j for two exclusive interviews, and spoke at length with presenters Abby Butler and Lucy Smith about touring Australia. “I’ve really come to love it,” she said at the time. “I feel so welcomed here [in Australia]. We play the sickest shows here. I feel very understood by the Australian audiences. There’s really something special here.”
Lorde last performed in Australia in March 2023 as part of her Solar Power world tour. In a review of the tour’s Sydney show, Music Feeds described it as her “most ambitious production to date”. “If ever Lorde doubts her ability to be a pop star, she need only think of moments like this – of shows like this – to take comfort in the knowledge that she has made a real difference,” the review read.
Virgin was pre-empted by the release of three singles: ‘What Was That’, ‘Man Of The Year’ and ‘Hammer’. The album marked her first time working with producer and songwriter Jim E-Stack, and also sports contributions from Bon Iver‘s Justin Vernon and Blood Orange‘s Devonte Hynes. In addition to going number one in Australia, Virgin has also topped the charts in Austria, Belgium, Scotland, the UK and her native New Zealand. The Ultrasound world tour is set to kick off in Austin, Texas in September before touring through North America, the UK and Europe until December.
A pre-sale for the tour will go live from 2pm local time on Thursday, July 17th. General sale will then follow on Friday, July 18th – again at 2pm local time. Both can be accessed via Frontier Touring.
