Lola Young's Triumphant Return: First Appearance Since Onstage Collapse at Lily Allen's Party!

Lola Young, the 24-year-old English pop star, recently made her first public appearance in three months, following a concerning collapse onstage in New York. She was seen at Lily Allen’s annual Christmas event in London on Friday, December 19, where she posed for photographs with both the host and fellow musician Olivia Rodrigo. This public outing marks a significant step for Young, who also broke her social media silence since her September 27 collapse at the All Things Go Festival at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York.
On Saturday, Young posted a message on Instagram, her first since she announced she was "going away for a while" after the incident. In her post, she expressed deep gratitude to her fans and supporters. "I just wanted to express gratitude to everyone who has given me time and space to gather myself and get my head in a better place," Young wrote. She acknowledged the immense love and support she received, stating it "has helped more than you will ever know." The "Messy" singer shared her aspirations to return to the stage gradually, stating, "I am hoping to gradually get back to performing and continuing pursuing my dreams. Happy holidays to you all and can’t wait to see you in 2026." She concluded her heartfelt message with an affirmation of her current well-being: "Life is a journey, nothing is perfect but today I am doing well. All my love always, Lola."
Following her onstage collapse, Young had made the difficult decision to cancel all her upcoming shows, including a scheduled performance at the All Things Go Festival in Washington, D.C., and numerous tour dates across the U.K. and North America. At the time, she communicated her need to prioritize her mental health and well-being, stating, "I’m going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future." She had also conveyed her hope for a second chance from her audience once she had "time to work on myself and come back stronger." Leading up to the incident, the Grammy-nominated artist had been open with her fans about experiencing a challenging period. Just one day before her collapse, she had unexpectedly withdrawn from Audacy’s We Can Survive concert at New Jersey’s Prudential Center, with her manager attributing the cancellation to a "sensitive matter" concerning her mental health. Approximately a week before these events, Young had released her third album, titled "I’m Only F—king Myself."
