Liverpool Lands Barcelona Star Ronald Araújo! €55m Option Confirmed

The decision by Barcelona to let their captain join a European rival, particularly on loan, has raised questions. However, the past few seasons have been marred by struggles with form, fitness, and mental health. According to Transfermarkt, he has suffered 17 separate injuries since 2018, missing an average of 103 days of action per season over the last five campaigns. On the pitch, sources noted early doubts about his suitability to Barcelona’s possession-based style, and his deficiencies on the ball led to him falling out of favor under new coach Hansi Flick.
