The claw machine is a game that kids can’t resist, including this boy who took wanting to win a prize to the extreme.

Many parents will know the allure of the claw machine. Every time they pass one, kids seem to always think that today will be their lucky day, even though winning a prize on the thing is actually quite hard. You would want to be doing some serious practice to get good at it. But that would take a lot of euros!

A little boy in the US tried to beat the claw machine by skipping the game part – where you operate the titular ‘claw’ to grab a toy contained in the machine – and going straight for the prize.

However, the boy’s sneaky plan backfired when he climbed into the machine and couldn’t get back out.

The claw machine in question was too tempting for the boy to ignore. He can be seen in camera footage walking over to it before briefly before climbing in, head first, into the opening at the front where the prize drops down (when won the right way…).

He manoeuvres himself into the heart of the machine and soon becomes one with the cuddly toys. And that’s when we’re sure he paused to think, ‘what now?’ He had his pick of the toys – but no way out.

Passers-by tried to help the little boy once it was noticed he was trapped inside. However, there was no budging him, so emergency services were called.

Good Morning America reports that the claw machine was moved to a nearby shop, where fire and and EMS workers rescued the little boy, who escaped uninjured.

We wonder was he allowed to keep a toy!
