Liam Payne's Ex-Girlfriend Cheryl Cole Inherits Estate After Death

Cheryl Cole, Liam Payne's ex-girlfriend and mother of his child, has been named administrator of his USD 32.2 million estate after his death without a will. Court documents from May 1 list Cole and attorney Richard Mark Bray as official administrators, according to the New York Post.

The legal paperwork reportedly valued Payne's UK estate at USD 38 million gross, with a net value of approximately USD 32.2 million. Cole and Bray are tasked with managing the funds but currently have limited authority regarding distribution.

Liam Payne passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 31, due to a fatal fall from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires. His death resonated across the music industry. Payne's funeral took place in Buckinghamshire in November, attended by close friends and family.

Authorities reported in December that five individuals were charged in connection with his death. An Argentinian official ruling excluded suicide, with toxicology reports and witness accounts indicating drug use as a contributing factor.

Cole released a statement addressing Payne's passing: "As I try to navigate this earth shattering event, and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I'd like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being. Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7-year-old son. A son that now has to face the harsh reality of never seeing his father again," she posted to Instagram. "I am begging you," as per the New York Post.
