Lexus LX Roars Into 2026: Flagship SUV Gets Pricier & Tweaked!

The 2026 Lexus LX, a flagship SUV sharing its platform with the Toyota Sequoia, continues to assert its premium standing in the luxury vehicle market, with updated pricing and enhanced standard features. For the 2026 model year, the LX lineup sees a general price increase, now starting at $107,950, which is approximately $1,100 more than the previous year, and can extend up to $142,450 for the opulent Ultra Luxury trim.
A notable upgrade across all 2026 LX models is the standardization of the comprehensive Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 and a head-up display (HUD). This advanced safety suite integrates a range of technologies designed to assist drivers and enhance safety, including adaptive cruise control, lane trace assist, proactive driving assistance, and real-time road sign recognition. Additionally, features such as pre-collision with pedestrian detection, lane departure alerts, and automatic high beams are now standard across the entire lineup. The newly standard HUD provides critical driving information directly in the driver's line of sight, displaying vehicle speed, cruise control and lane-keep information, and recognized road signs.
Beyond these universal enhancements, specific trims offer distinct characteristics. The LX700h F Sport Handling trim introduces an optional F Sport Appearance Package, allowing for greater personalization with color-matched accents, black mirror caps, black spoiler elements, and color-matched running board trim, alongside a new Ultra White exterior color option. The core F Sport Handling models for both the LX600 and LX700h retain their performance-oriented features, including 22-inch wheels, an F mesh grille with a jet-black frame, unique performance dampers, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and a unique rear stabilizer bar. These mechanical enhancements are complemented by specialized EPS (Electric Power Steering) and AVS (Adaptive Variable Suspension) programming to optimize chassis dynamics. Inside, the F Sport Handling trims exude luxury and sportiness with a heated steering wheel wrapped in textured leather, a matching shifter, and F Sport seats featuring embossed headrests, all highlighted by the exclusive Circuit Red interior coloring. Pricing for the 2026 LX600 F Sport Handling starts at $114,950, while the LX700h F Sport Handling begins at $118,950.
For enthusiasts of off-road adventures, the LX700h Overtrail trim receives a minor update with a new Manganese Luster paint option. Otherwise, it maintains its robust suite of off-road capabilities. This includes locking front and rear differentials, rugged 33-inch all-terrain tires mounted on 18-inch wheels, a protective front skid plate, a powerful 2.4-kW inverter, and practical all-weather floor mats, all contributing to its distinctive rugged styling. The Overtrail trim is priced starting at $116,685.
Ultimately, the 2026 Lexus LX continues to embody its role as Lexus’ largest and most assertive SUV, retaining its premium positioning. The minor tweaks and standard feature upgrades for the 2026 model year, accompanied by the adjusted pricing, underscore its continued commitment to luxury, safety, and performance, leaving it to individual buyers to determine if these enhancements justify the revised cost.
