Laura Geller Beauty has launched its Spackle Skin Perfecting Primer Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30, available on LauraGeller.com. This primer combines makeup and sunscreen, offering broad-spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays, simplifying beauty routines for women over 40.
The original Spackle Primer, launched in 2002, was one of the first dedicated makeup primers. Laura Geller emphasizes that the new SPF primer is designed to smooth skin, extend makeup wear, and protect against sun damage and skin cancer in one step. This addresses the concern that many customers, especially those over 40, find it difficult to incorporate SPF into their daily routines.
Skin cancer rates are increasing, particularly among women over 50, with melanoma rates rising by about 3% per year, according to the American Cancer Society. Approximately half of all melanomas occur in people over 50, with the median age at diagnosis being 59. This underscores the need for accessible SPF solutions for mature skin.
