Kyabazinga to Graduate from Yale University

The Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope, is set to graduate from the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs on May 20, 2025. This marks a significant achievement for the Kyabazinga, who shared a photo with his wife, Jovia Mutesi, at the school.

Vision Group CEO Don Wanyama congratulated the Kyabazinga, emphasizing that this accomplishment sets a strong example for young people through education. Wanyama highlighted that Gabula Nadiope is earning a Master of Advanced Studies in Global Affairs from Yale University, noting that this is his second master’s degree, with the first being an MBA from Coventry University in the UK. Additionally, the Kyabazinga is a third-year PhD student at the University of Portsmouth.

The Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, established in 2010 in New Haven, Connecticut, aims to prepare students for global leadership roles. Gabula Nadiope, born on November 1, 1988, is the fourth Kyabazinga of Busoga, having been chosen by the ten Busoga Royal Chiefs on August 23, 2014. He spent his early years in Jinja under the care of his maternal grandmother and attended various schools, including Victoria Nile, Winston Day and Boarding Primary School Kawempe, Lohana Academy, Busoga College Mwiri, and Kyambogo College School. In 2011, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kyambogo University.

The Kyabazinga's lineage is steeped in leadership, with his father, Wilson Gabula Nadiope III, having served as Uganda's minister of tourism, and his grandfather, William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Nadiope II, having been both Kyabazinga and Uganda's first vice president.
