KB Bashkimi Prizren (Superliga) has signed 28-year-old U.S. Virgin Islands 208cm power forward De'Quon Lake (college: Arizona State) for the new season. Lake, who most recently played at Atomeromu in the Hungarian A Division, averaged 9.2ppg and 7.1rpg in 33 games last season. He helped Atomeromu finish as the second-best team in the league and reach the league semifinals. Lake was named to the Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League All-Imports Team and the Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Second Team for his performance. In the previous (2023-24) season, he played for another Hungarian team, SZTE-Szedeak Szeged (A Division).
He is a very experienced player, thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in six different countries playing on three different continents. Lake is familiar with European, Latin American, and of course North American leagues. He has played professionally in Belarus (BC Minsk), Poland (Czarni), Puerto Rico (Criollos), NBA G League (OKC Blue), and The Basketball Tournament (305 Ballers).
He won the Hungarian League championship title in 2021 among many awards. Lake was selected to All-ICCAC D1 Honorable Mention back in 2016 during his college time.
He graduated from Arizona State in 2019 and it'll be his seventh season in pro basketball. Lake played also for Iowa Western Community College for 2 years.
