Adaklu Waya (V/R), May 25, GNA – A delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has called on Mr. Jerry Ameko, Adaklu District Chief Executive and other stakeholders in his office at Adaklu Waya.
The visit was to brief the DCE on their plans to establish a vegetable farm and its auxillary units at Adaklu Ahunda Kpodzi in the Adaklu district.
Mr. Ameko, receiving the delegation, praised KOICA for their continuous support for the country and Adaklu, in particular.
He stated that he was sure KOICA’s partnership with the district would enhance the growth and development of Adaklu and expand the district’s local economy.
“I am sure this partnership will also create sustainable jobs for the teeming unemployed youth in the district,” he said.
The DCE expressed his appreciation to the chiefs and people of Adaklu Ahunda Kpodzi for willingly giving out land for the commencement of the project.
He assured the delegation that the land was free of litigation.
Mr. Ameko stressed that Adaklu was ready to partner any organization or groups of people whose actions and intents would upgrade the livelihood of the people in the district.
He said the chiefs, landowners and other stakeholders were ready to release land to any investor willing to establish a business in the district.
Mr. Ameko asked those who would be engaged on the project to ask relevant questions pertaining to the project to enable them gain more insight into it and to also work hard to enable others also to benefit from it.
