Actor and comedian Kevin James made an unexpected appearance during Thomas Rhett’s July 12 concert at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater, stepping onstage for a surprise performance with the country star.

James, who grew up in Stony Brook, joined Rhett for "Somethin’ ’Bout a Woman," a track off Rhett’s latest record, "About a Woman." Rhett later posted photos on Instagram from the Wantagh "Better in Boots" tour stop, including one of James onstage and another with former Giants quarterback Eli Manning backstage.

The appearance was the latest in a string of music-related cameos for the 60-year-old comic. In June, he joined Jelly Roll onstage at both the Buckeye Country Superfest in Columbus, Ohio, and the Barefoot Country Music Fest in Wildwood, New Jersey. He also appeared in the music video for Nate Smith’s "Nobody Likes Your Girlfriend," featuring HARDY, which was released in February.

The "King of Queens" star is set to return to Long Island this fall for a stand-up show at The Paramount in Huntington on Oct. 5.

Rhett, 35, released "About a Woman," his seventh studio album, in August 2024. The 14-track album includes an extended version of collaborations with singers Tucker Wetmore, Teddy Swims and Lanie Gardner. On July 14, he announced three new songs will be released this Friday, including "Ain’t a Bad Life," featuring Jordan Davis.

Tickets to James’ upcoming hometown show are available at kevinjames.com.
