Kenyan Mum Puzzled as Gen-Z Daughter Sends Request to Mortician Ann Mwangangi
The TikTok user urged her fellow Gen Zs to turn up for the Maandamano as she made a personal request to Ann.
"Hi guys. Tomorrow, let us show up at the Nairobi CBD. Then I want to request Ann — when I get to the mortuary, please put me in a nearby drawer because I am a Muslim. My mum said to put me in a nearby drawer so that when Muslims come to look for my body, they can easily find me," she said, sitting next to her visibly surprised mother.
Her mother asked what she was talking about, and Mwajuma clarified that she was referring to the protests.
Mwajuma even tried to convince her mum that she would be paid at least KSh 2 million by President William Samoei Ruto if she died while protesting.
Her shocked mother was not having it and reached for her sandal to discipline her daughter.
"Let me find you in Maandamano — you will know who I am," Mwajuma's angry mother warned as she pointed her sandal at her speechless daughter.
When Mwajuma tried to speak about the protests again, her mum raised her hand, sandal in hand, ready to strike — but Mwajuma quickly escaped.

The TikToker acknowledged that his mother would be both scared and upset to see him demonstrating with his fellow Gen Zs.
However, he shared his heartfelt reasons for taking to the streets and urged his mother not to weep if he did not return home.
God Fao also left a touching message for his younger siblings, saying he was protesting to fight for their future.
