The Authority stated that the disruptions will begin at midnight on Saturday, July 12, and end at midnight on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

During the 24-hour disruption, the Mombasa-bound side of Mombasa Road between the JKIA Exit and Syokimau will be closed.

Motorists heading towards Mlolongo, Katani, or beyond will not be able to access this section during the installation.

KeNHA noted that the closure will also affect areas around Teco Mall, Syokimau Railway Station, and nearby access points.

According to the statement, the Nairobi-bound lanes of Mombasa Road will remain open and available for use by motorists.

It also stated that some vehicles will be diverted to service lanes and internal roads near Gateway Mall, the Syokimau SCR Terminus, and adjacent areas.

The authority urged the motorists to follow the direction of traffic marshals and police officers who will be at the site to ensure there is a traffic flow.

They are also advised to follow signage and remain patient as the footbridge is being installed in the area.

"KeNHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan below and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site," part of the notice reads.
