Katsina Deputy Governor Appointed as Amirul-Hajj for 2025

Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has appointed Deputy Governor Faruq Lawal-Jobe as the Amirul-Hajj, head of the state delegation for the 2025 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. The Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Faskari, announced the 12-member delegation, which includes Speaker of the House of Assembly Nasiru Yahaya, Religious Affairs Commissioner Ishaq Shehu-Dabai, Shafi’u Abdu-Duwan, Shehu Abdu-Daura, Justice Aminu Tukur, Lawal Attahiru-Bakori, Sheikh Aminu Usman (Abu Ammar), Sheikh Naziru Kofar-Baru, Umar Abubakar, and Aliyu Hussaini. The Governor’s office will provide the secretary.
The delegation is tasked with monitoring and supervising all Hajj operational activities both in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia to ensure a successful pilgrimage. Their responsibilities include ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of the state's pilgrims and a smooth airlift and return journey. The delegation will submit a comprehensive report to the Governor upon completion of the Hajj exercise. Governor Radda wished the delegation, the Pilgrims Welfare Board, and the intending pilgrims Allah’s guidance throughout the Hajj operations. The delegation will be formally inaugurated soon to commence activities.
