Karolina Wydra's Shocking 'Pluribus' Revelation: She REALLY Flew That Plane!

Vince Gilligan's new Apple TV sci-fi series, "Pluribus," introduces a complex world where most human survivors on Earth are psychically linked through a strange alien technology, forming a hivemind. A select few, including romance author Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn), are not part of this collective and find themselves overwhelmed by the situation. The hivemind dispatches Zosia (Karolina Wydra), a character who remarkably resembles the pirate hero from Carol's books, to act as a guide and provide answers, leading to a dynamic and often tense interaction between the two.
Karolina Wydra, who portrays the enigmatic Zosia, shared insights into the show's unique premise and the secretive audition process. Wydra expressed her admiration for Vince Gilligan's vision and storytelling, emphasizing the excitement of encountering a world she had never seen before on screen. The production maintained strict secrecy, requiring NDAs and withholding full script details to ensure that viewers and actors alike could experience the show's journey with a blank slate, free from preconceived notions or spoilers. This approach, according to Wydra, enhances the audience's experience of discovery, surprise, and the show's distinctive dark humor.
Zosia's character is portrayed as incredibly capable, possessing the collective muscle memory and skills of the entire hivemind. This required Wydra to learn a variety of new and unusual skills for the role. She recounted the enjoyable experience of learning to drive an excavator, a task particularly amusing given her two young sons' obsession with construction vehicles. More impressively, Wydra also learned to taxi a C-130 military plane, a feat she described as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. She explained that rehearsals focused on developing an effortless, intuitive execution of these actions, reflecting Zosia's innate mastery and the hivemind's shared abilities, where tasks are performed without hesitation, as if done
