Kaduna: Lawmaker distributes 32 motorcycles to clerics
The lawmaker representing Jema’a and Sanga federal constituency, Honourable Daniel Amos has distributed 32 motorcycles to clerics across the constituency.
According to the lawmaker, the initiative aimed at empowering religious leaders in their service to God and humanity, reflected his commitment to carrying everyone along in his leadership journey.
Speaking at the event which took place at his constituency office in Kafanchan, Daniel Amos represented by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman Sanga local government area, Mr. James Nji Wunyi, explained that the motorcycles were intended to assist both Christian and Muslim clerics in carrying out their duties of spreading the words of God, even in the most remote areas.
“Your service to God and humanity, your sacrifice for going to and fro places, is highly demanding,” Mr. Nji remarked.
He urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the motorcycles and prayed for their safety in all their endeavours.
In his remarks, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Jema’a local government area, Venerable Emmanuel Markus, lauded the lawmaker for the gesture.
Mr Markus noted that the donation was a demonstration of the legislator’s commitment to supporting religious leaders in their efforts at providing spiritual guidance.
Also speaking, Chairman of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Jema’a local government area, Malam Garba Alhassan, described the gesture as one of its kind in the constituency.
Mallam Alhassan expressed hope that other well-meaning individuals would follow Amos’ example in supporting religious leaders in the area.
Reverend Yakubu Ido, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, also lauded the lawmaker for the gesture and prayed to God to protect the lawmaker and grant him the ability to do more.
The beneficiaries, drawn from various communities within the constituency, also expressed their gratitude.
They pledged their continuous prayers for Hon. Amos’s protection and success in his political career and personal life.
The event was graced by notable attendees, including the PDP Chairman of Jema’a local government area, Hon. Hassan Yaro Joshua, former Sanga PDP Chairman Hon. Sama’ila Koyos, former PDP Vice Chairman of Jema’a local government area Hon. Isiyaka A. Ladan, Wards party chairmen, and other party faithful.
