K-State women's basketball lands 4-star 2026 guard Sage Henry
Fresh off leading Hamilton High to a 6A state title, Arizona junior Sage Henry announced her commitment to Kansas State on Wednesday, giving the Wildcats an early gem in their 2026 class.
Henry, a 5-foot-11 natural scorer, chose K-State over offers from Missouri, Utah, California, and several others. The Wildcats were among the first programs to offer her, extending an offer in September 2023, according to the Manhattan Mercury.

She joins a program coming off a strong 2024–25 roster overhaul, including four incoming transfers: Izela Arenas (UCLA), Jenessa Cotton (Texas A&M), Tess Heal (Santa Clara), and Ramiya White (Louisville).
The Wildcats also return key contributors in fifth-year forward Kennedy Taylor and junior guard Taryn Sides, while adding a freshman class featuring Aniya Foy, Gina Garcia, Brandie Harrod, and Jordan Speiser.
K-State continues to build momentum under head coach Jeff Mittie, aiming to climb in a competitive Big 12 that now stretches coast to coast.
In addition to Henry, the Wildcats have an early 2027 pledge from in-state four-star Maddie Vickery (Washburn Rural), who committed as a sophomore and is already becoming a name to watch.
Henry’s decision marks a key step in Kansas State’s efforts to build a championship-caliber team that can compete at the highest level in the Big 12 and beyond.
