K-Pop Firestorm: LE SSERAFIM & J-Hope Unleash 'Spaghetti' Collaboration

K-pop sensation LE SSERAFIM has officially unveiled their latest musical offering, “Spaghetti,” the third installment in their compelling EP trilogy. This highly anticipated release stands out even more for its groundbreaking collaboration with BTS member j-hope, marking his first-ever feature on a track by a K-pop girl group. The eight-track HYBE collection dropped at midnight, immediately captivating fans worldwide with its distinctive sound and dynamic collaborations.
The collaboration with j-hope was strategically teased earlier in the week through a captivating YouTube video titled “The Kick.” In the visual, j-hope appears in a Matrix-inspired outfit and dark shades, performing under flashing strobe lights that built immense anticipation among fans. The grand reveal at the video's conclusion showcased a snippet of LE SSERAFIM members KIM CHAEWON, SAKURA, HUH YUNJIN, KAZUHA, and HONG EUNCHAE delivering the now-iconic “eat it up” refrain, which has since become a defining hook of the track.
In an interview with Billboard Philippines, members of LE SSERAFIM opened up about the creative process behind “Spaghetti.” SAKURA explained the song’s concept, saying, “The new cut expresses LE SSERAFIM’s charm that you just can’t get away from, like spaghetti that’s stuck in your teeth.” She emphasized that the repetitive “eat it up” line serves as the song’s highlight, adding, “Each of us delivers it in our own unique way, giving the song its playful and addictive energy.”
LE SSERAFIM’s latest success reinforces their rapidly growing dominance in the global music scene. Earlier in March, their EP “HOT” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, securing their fifth top 10 entry and their second chart-topping release following 2024’s “Crazy.” This consistent record of success underscores the group’s expanding global influence and devoted fanbase. The five-member group recently concluded the North American leg of their “EASY CRAZY HOT World Tour,” which began in April in South Korea. The tour seamlessly blends the unique concepts and narratives of their EP trilogy “EASY,” “CRAZY,” and “HOT” into a cohesive, high-energy live experience for audiences around the world. Beyond their latest release and tour, LE SSERAFIM continues to cement their reputation as one of K-pop’s most collaborative and experimental acts. Earlier this year, KIM CHAEWON lent her vocals to JVKE’s “butterflies” alongside TAEHYUN of TOMORROW X TOGETHER. The group has also partnered with JADE on “HOT,”PinkPantheress on “CRAZY,” and the legendary Nile Rodgers on “UNFORGIVEN,” demonstrating their versatility and cross-genre appeal in the ever-evolving landscape of global pop music.
